Assistant Director Position

The NSCSL is looking for an Assistant Director starting this off season running through the end of the League Director's term (Currently 12.31.2013).

Responsibilities:
-Assists League Director in day-today operations during the season (Summer and Fall)
-Member of the Board of Directors (Includes league planning, rule modifications, etc.)
-Maintains League Finances (Including: Annual Budget, Accounts Payable and Receivable)
-Assists in enforcing league rules, policies, procedures, etc.
-Assists in finalizing league policy packet
-Assists with city and umpire representative relations
-Able to update league website as needed
-Assists with and helps facilitate league events (Managers Meeting, All Star Games, Playoffs, Tournaments)
-Assists with league material pick-up and distribution
-Assists in league expansion and development

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Current player in the NSCSL (Required)
-Internet and Cell Phone access (Required)
-Basic knowledge of minor website maintenance
-Preferable background in accounting or related
-Knowledge of QuickBooks
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe programs
-Experience in graphic design
-Able to communicate well and speak in front of groups
-Able to communicate in a professional manner primarily through email
-Able to have a general knowledge of USSSA/NSCSL Rules and able to understand rule books.
-Able to work well with other board members and managers.

-Must not have a criminal background
-Must be able to be added to an account with either Wells Fargo and/or TCF bank


-Able to dedicate 1-10 hours per week during the season (Typically 1-3)
Note: More time consuming at the beginning of season (March - April) and end of Summer Season (End of June and July)

-Able to attend two board meetings and various league wide meetings per season

NOTE: The NSCSL is a Non-Profit Organization. This position is a VOLUNTEER position. There is no Compensation. Willing applicants must be able to use personal vehicle, computer, internet, phone, etc. with little or no reimbursement. Materials such as envelopes, stamps, paper, etc. are reimbursable. Mileage may be reimbursed by request.
